General Mercantile PLC is a privately owned share company established
in the year 1982. The Company is registered by Ethiopian Ministry
of Commerce & Industry under registration No.019566/91.
The Company was founded with the contributed capital of its shareholders
at its present site (Addis Ababa). Its subsequent achievement and
the pursue of satisfying its customers necessitated employing well-qualified
personnel thus re-organizing itself to meet the challenge of the
future.
Objective
Since
its foundation, the aim and goal of General Mercantile is to import
and supply reliable and trustworthy modern machines and equipments
to its wide range of market outlets and customers in the most efficient
managerial system.
Another goal of General Mercantile is to maximize the benefit of
the company and its employees by effectively utilizing its resources
and rendering better services through expanding the scope of its
activities.
Future Plan
Having achieved a healthy and close business relation with most
of the major construction companies & workshops in the country,
our main focus and interest will be to provide efficient services
and develop customer satisfaction to these sectors.
To this effect, we are working towards expanding our workshop, with
highly qualified technicians, sophisticated equipments and machinery
and above all the determination to provide and maintain superior
quality service to our esteemed customers.
